I had the honor of photographing a citizenship oath ceremony at the International Institute of Minnesota. Everyone was clearly happy and proud to become a citizen in this country. Their happiness was infectious.
The League of Women Voters were there volunteering, which also made me smile. Civics in action, working at its best, working for everyone. That is when our country shines.
I'm proud to be included amongst the top 30 gallery images in FILMN°RTH's mobile photography exhibition: The N°RTH. The opening night reception is Friday, January 12th from 5:30p - 7:30p. Look for my photograph! And me too, I'll be there as well :)
If you can't make it this Friday, no worries! The exhibit will run through February 6 and is free to the public.
Family portraits! Some of my favorite shoots are with families. Especially when we go explore new-to-me places. For this shoot with the Hackers, we went to a Christmas tree farm north of Hudson, WI. Amy's parents drove this gorgeous vintage red truck to the farm, which drew a lot of admirers, including me :)
Chris & Katrina are way cute together!! They were making each other laugh and smile throughout our walk, which made me smile.
We had a great casual late fall photography session around Gold Medal Park & the Mill Ruins. It was right before it got all cold out. Gold Medal still has colorful leaves on the trees right now! Maybe they froze on the trees all red and beautiful? Anyways, Katrina & Chris are beautiful together and I'm looking forward to their wedding in May!
